Dialogue in "The Witch Circe"

Today I will: 
  • construct evidence sentences exhibiting understanding of “The Witch Circe”
  • Create a dialogue, using the storyline of “The Witch Circe” to demonstrate understanding of the elements of dialogue

Today's Agenda:
1. Work in your dialogue groups to construct a practice piece on a shared Google Doc (no more than 15-20 minutes) Your TAs will come around and stamp your Hero's Journey organizer while you work
2. Read "The Witch Circe" as a class
3. Begin the Post-reading activity. Your goal is to write a well-constructed dialogue scene. DO NOT BEGIN THE PEER EDIT ON THE BACK, we will do this together in class tomorrow.

A work packet will be collected tomorrow, so please bring all work to school

-Identify the elements of a narrative, analyze a prompt, and continue to map out your own hero's journey as it relates to your life.
-Read, analyze, and annotate "The Cyclops" with a focus on the characteristics of a hero.
-Identify connections between "The Cyclops" and the values of the ancient Greeks and form an opinion about the significance of the story.
